I hope ZZ Top plays "sleeping bag"

In all seriousness....what exactly is the bridge School. After all these years I never thought to look it up.

In short, it is a school that deals with severely disabled kids, including Pegi and Neils' kid that the Trans' album was done by Neil as an attempt at communication with. Also the reason he bought a controlling interest in Lionel model trains. They supposedly have one hell of an electric train set up at the ranch (out La Honda way.... not that anything has ever gone on out that way...)

From their homepage:
http://www.bridgeschool.org/

The Bridge School is an educational program dedicated to ensuring that children with severe speech and physical impairments achieve full participation in their communities through the use of augmentative & alternative means of communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) applications. Bridge School has established an outreach program to share what is developed at the school with parents, professionals and users of AAC/AT across the world. We invite you to explore this site to learn more about who we are, what we believe and ways that you can either benefit from or contribute to the ongoing programs, projects and activities that move all people closer to a life without barriers to expression and communication

Here's a cool article on the Lionel trains' deal:

BD, you have to be the most up to date person on bands that I've seen around here. I dont think I've ever recognized any of your RIP posts (you must have a dozen of them) Are you around the music scene all the time?

I counted 3 bands that I recognized above. I guess South Florida isn't exactly the center of the music scene. I think Andy Williams was here a few weeks ago. Super hot show.

I no longer have any direct involvement in music, but I have a couple of very close friends that are in the "bix" and often get advance notice of things. In fact, tomorrow night I'll be enjoying a band with 2 drummers at the Warfield thanks to pal who is putting on the show.
